Dear Adrian,
I think there is probably a huge market for Pre-Condolence Cards™ that can be given to egocentric women who have a secret crush on someone named "Rico" that is awaiting execution for murder.
You could send a thoughtful Pre-Condolence Card™ along with a note telling your narcissistic friend "Lisa" that the crime was not actually an armed robbery gone bad. Instead, write that it was a revenge killing, inspired when the "victim" called Lisa a slut! (The story only seems implausible if you're not as vain as Lisa is.)
So sorry that Rico will die, I think he's a heck of a guy! He cleared Lisa's name, But she's not to blame, It's the state that's making him fry.
Your note and card will make Lisa feel important AND feel good about Rico at the same time! And naturally she will sleep with you (she's such a slut!) after she sees how your card is in touch with her deepest emotions.
P.S. We could print cards with other names in place of Rico and Lisa, but I suspect there won't be much demand for those.

The only story here is that the guy wants to make some money and offers up a couple of emails to see if craigslisting.tumblr.com blogger is offering work (ridiculous or not) or wasting his time with some inside joke. Not really funny with blogger guy's emails not being that hilarious.
